If you believe the wire harness is original, then you should replace it. Old wiring can fail and cause a fire. A fiberglass car can burn if a fire starts up under the dash.
I have had fires start in old cars because of bad old wiring. I'm not the only one.
If it is not the original harness, then how old is it? If it's not that old, then I would not replace it for an unknown problem.
